We want the ability to have aesthetics which are placed at a point to have the ability to align the drawing to the point in various ways, the most obvious being whether to centre, or left/right/top/bottom align. This is particularly so for Text.

There is a secondary type of alignment which is when text is displayed in a box and we want to align/justify/etc. relative to that box. We currently don't have a "text in a box" shape, but if we were to grow one, this would make sense.
