I tried all versions back to 4.2.5, all of them have the same issue that I can't take the installation ISO out of CD/DVD. This is strange, because on my Mac Studio with M2, I have UTM version 4.2.5, and it does not have this issue. And both Mac runs Mac OS 14.3, although the M2 Studio was on an earlier OS version when I took the installation ISO out of CD/DVD. |

You can eject it from the top right menu. See screenshot above. |

Well, I can eject the ISO disk from CD/DVD in the VM top right menu, but when restarting the VM, it still get me the Fedora installation page, as if the DVD is still in the drive. I think something else is wrong. For example, in the $hostname.utm/Data directory, there is a efi_vars.fd file, that in my other Mac, it's about half MB. But in this new Mac, it's 4.6GB. |

When restarting the VM its written: "Press any key to boot from CD or DVD...". If you don't press anything boot should start the installed OS. |

Maybe fedora boot loader is different. I don't get that choice. It boot from CD/DVD if it's not empty. And I get to choose install, test media, or trouble shooting, just like at the beginning. I did further testing, and discovered version 4.4.3 and up is bad on M chip Macs, and version 4.3.5 and below are good. (I didn't test the beta versions in between). I tested on M3 and M2. On good versions, after install, when given the above choice, I just click the top left red circle, and get a message that saying this will kill the VM. I click yes, and the VM is down, and I then can clear the CD/DVD drive, and start the VM normally. However, on bad versions, when I click the red circle, the VM window just disappears without message. I can't clear the CD/DVD drive in that case. On good versions, the Data/efi_vars.fd file is about 640K in size, while on bad versions, this file is 4GBs. I also tested on Intel Macs, and the newer versions don't have the same issue there. The problem is only creating new VM on the newer versions, if upgrading to newer version UTM, the existing VMs may work just fine. |

BEFORE SUBMITTING YOUR ISSUE, PLEASE LOOK AT THE PINNED ISSUES AND USE THE SEARCH FUNCTION TO MAKE SURE IT IS NOT ALREADY REPORTED. ALWAYS COMMENT ON AN EXISTING ISSUE INSTEAD OF MAKING A NEW ONE.
Describe the issue

Also, the top right "detail" icon is gray out as if the VM is running, but it's not.
