CPHG Member Question (this was a question i submitted to ARCS the other day)
i was attempting to mount my uva hds home directory to my rivanna home directory in order to transfer html documents into my uva hds home directory for research collaboration. i connected to rivanna with ssh, created myweb/html, and tried the mount -t smbfs command, which returned an error: only root can use "--types" option. how do i access home directory services from rivanna?
This space currently corresponds to the ITS Home Directory Service. It can be accessed as /tiny/mst3k
This space can be used as an additional backup for critical files. It can also be mounted as a remote drive on Windows, OSX, and Linux using the ITS HDS application ("J drive" on Windows). The major limitation is that it is provides only 4GB of free space.
