What's the OS of the system you're trying to bootstrap? Have you added and synchronized the required software channels before attempting the registration?

In this case was an ubuntu server 22.04 and no i have not configured channels yet i just wanted to have the systems registered manually... What I read is that this salt-ssh is a deprecated way to add systems... is that true? you need to use the salt bundle... and this is a bit confusing for a new commers like me....

Salt SSH is not deprecated (but it's not recommended if the Salt Bundle is an option). Either way, having the channels for the OS you want to manage is currently mandatory. The Salt Bundle is also used for Salt SSH and it is made available by syncing the channels.
