Support stdlib version 9

Currently this module cannot really be used due to its requirement of stdlib <8.0.0. But there is already version 9 which has been released in May 2023.
Since stdlib is a very common module it is very important to ensure compatibility with current versions.

So please do the needful to make the module compatible with version 9.
