Hi!

Title said everything DB2S Not lights up at start(loads but the picture stays dark), but only with PWM modified tables for me. I use the latest VPX 10.8 1889 64 bit beta, and the latest Vpinmame sc 847 64 bit version. Installed the latest b2sserver from github too, didnt help.

Thx

Adding some detail to this bug report.

You can reproduce the issue as follows:

  1. Download this unreleased version of No Fear which uses the new UseVPMModSol=2 functionality: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1l87tFzADokUlkV7vlXmMhM-Tuc2IYbi2/view?usp=sharing
  2. Download this back glass file: https://vpuniverse.com/files/file/12981-no-fear-dangerous-sports-williams-1995-b2s-with-full-dmd/
  3. Run the table in the latest build VPX and VPM. Note that the back glass does not fully light up during the game.

Expected behavior:
The back glass will light up during the game. You can see it work properly if you play the released version of No Fear which does not use the new UseVPMModSol=2 functionality: https://vpuniverse.com/files/file/16258-no-fear-dangerous-sports-williams-1995/

I don't think there is a solution on the PinMame side for this. The problem is that B2S does not support modulated outputs nor physic outputs. So it just compares value to 0/1 and toggle images on/off. An update of B2S with support for physic output would be nice, but on the same time, I think the B2S arch is one of the thing we really really need to drop (and use jsm's implementation, dropping the hacks for VR too). I will discuss the subject with jarr to see what he thinks but this is not something that can be solved on this repo
