I have tried Waveshare's official code and although it compiles and the code runs plotting this in the serial monitor ` e-Paper busy

e-Paper busy
e-Paper busy release
e-Paper busy
e-Paper busy release

Nothing happens on the screen; I have checked the wiring and all is ok and matching to the waveshare manual. Any ideas anyone? I suspect I may have a faulty screen.
