How to set up iPad portrait mode? #872

What I did that worked for me on my iPad Pro 12.9"

  • Connected sidecar
  • Went to "Tools" > "Create New Dummy" > "4:3 - iPad - Matches Sidecar ..."
  • Clicked Dummy > "More Options" > "Portrait Orientation"
  • Clicked Dummy > Picture in Picture > Start Picture in Picture
  • sanity checked I had something that looked like a portrait mode iPad)
  • Clicked Dummy > "More Options" > "Stream Dummy" > "Rotate Stream by 90º"
  • Clicked Dummy > "More Options" > "Stream Dummy" > "Sidecar ..."
  • And it was working! Besides that I wanted to put my iPad upside down so I switched to "Rotate Stream by 270º", and then I just turned off the Dummy's picture in picture since I didn't need it (in the menu bar, not just by pressi…
