had the same problem so modified for angular 16 and removed ngx-bootstrap, I use bootstrap 5.3
ngx-bs-tel-input

For Angular 16, you can use this: https://www.npmjs.com/package/ngx-intl-tel-input-gg
with "ngx-bootstrap": "^9.0.0", worked for me
