All community members of WebSyCode and the particpants involved in any activity hosted and/or associated with WebSyCode are expected to abide by our Code of Conduct, both online and during in-person events.
We as members, participants, and leaders pledge to make participation in our community a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of age, body size, disability, ethnicity, sex characteristics, gender identity and expression, level of experience, education, socio-economic status, nationality, personal appearance, race, religion, or sexual identity and orientation.
We pledge to act and interact in ways that contribute to an open, welcoming, diverse, inclusive, and healthy community.
To create a positive environment for our community we encourage the following behaviour:
- Using welcoming and inclusive language.
- Being respectful of differing viewpoints and experiences.
- Gracefully accepting constructive criticism.
- Demonstrating empathy and kindness toward other people
- Accepting responsibility and apologizing to those affected by our mistakes, and learning from the experience.
- Focusing on what is best for the overall community without any personal profit.
We don't accept the following behaviour:
- Revealing sensitive information about our community to others.
- Blackmailing someone.
- Trolling, insulting/derogatory comments, public or private harassment.
- Publishing others' private information, such as a physical or electronic address, without explicit permission
- Not being respectful.
- The usage of sexualised language or imagery and unwelcome sexual attention or advances.
- Starting and/or participating in arguments related to politics.
- Assuming or promoting any kind of inequality based on age, body size, disability, ethnicity, gender identity and expression, nationality and race, personal appearance, religion, or sexual identity and orientation.
- Drug promotion of any kind
Violations of the Code of Conduct may be reported by sending an email to [email protected].
All reports will be reviewed and investigated and will result in a response that is necessary and appropriate to the circumstances.
We hold the right and responsibility to remove comments or other contributions that are not aligned to this Code of Conduct, or to ban temporarily or permanently any members of community for other behaviours that they deem inappropriate, threatening, offensive, or harmful.
