2. Acceptance of minutes [jkl, 2’]
- The team approved the minutes.
- FT-2021-2:
-
- The amendment has been sent out to Focal Points to review (2-month)
-
- Table 1-01-01 is the most complicated. 12-15 issues are related to this table. It is suggested that a branch is needed for this table.
-
- (Joerg) It would be helpful to add guidance for the next FT in the wiki. A space supported by a code list is also needed. The table should have different versions, with one supporting the current model.Major changes to this table will be submitted in FT-2022-1.
- FT-2022-1:
-
- Timetable:
-
-
- 2021-12: TT-WIGOSMD to validate and finalize all proposals
-
-
-
- 2022-01: WMO Secretariat to submit amendments for endorsement and review (2-month window for FoC review)
-
-
-
- 2022-03: Final FOC approval (2-month window for final WMO adoption and publication)
-
-
-
- 2022-05: Operational
-
-
- Note:(Anna)Aim to shorten the period for FP review

- (Joerg) Calls for more engagement from the TT-WIGOSMD. WMO Coordination needs to be improved.
- (Dominique) Secretariat is learning how to better build a system together. The station sets connections are important.
- (Juan) GitHub is a good platform to track issues.
- (Reiner) Expresses the concern of being flooded by the notifications and emails, finds it challenging to keep tracking all the activities, and tries to seek a better way to have the work overview.
- (Joerg) TT-WIGOSMD to think how the factors are calculated into scores
- Decision: Juan to take the lead to write the python codes to calculate the scores. Joerg and Reiner express willingess to help with it
- (Anna) evaluation of observation metadata vs evaluation of stations
- (Joerg) They are two categories.
- (Joerg) Call for more domain experts to join the discussion
- Anna: to send out the Information document of TT-WISMD for the INFCOM-2 (Feb.2022) to this Team
- Anna: to reach out to the WMO Secretariat for Space experts
