Fuzzy search does not work on string with . or special characters #81

Hi, I've tried searching for string with say m.a.d. and it will return nothing but the list of options has a string with m.a.d.
Is there a fix to this?

same issue, doesnt work with hyphens either, use Fuse.js if thats a deal breaker
