• {colonoscopy} does the same thing as {pedant} I think, but hasn't been updated in 2 years. Only exports two functions, scope() and unscope()
• {prefixr} is probably the most serious alternative. However I don't think it can parse files in one fell-swoop, but instead uses a shiny gadget.
