time display #23

Looks like the API always shows times as UTC https://xively.com/dev/docs/api/communicating/time_zones/ But you can pass the timezone it to the API - so you should be able to just add this "timezone" parameter in the xively-js file where it calls the API. I'll give it a try. |
Steve, Thanks…I didn’t realize that it had that parameter available….I’ll play with it julio From: Steve Dalton [mailto:[email protected]] Looks like the API always shows times as UTC https://xively.com/dev/docs/api/communicating/time_zones/ But you can pass the timezone it to the API - so you should be able to just add this "timezone" parameter in the xively-js file where it calls the API. I couldn't get it to accept the parameter - although I'm not familiar with the xively-js api so might not be doing it in the right place. From the documentation is seems that it should take timezone from your preferences - but this is obviously not the case. |

Folks, what you have done here is great- made it so simple to display temp at a remote location.
I was wondering if there is a way of changing the time display to reflect the location (pacific time -8 from GMT).
thanks
julio
