Scope

This is an ongoing update from Zootroop yTeam. In our strong commitment to improving the way we share information, we continue pursuing automation, striving towards full autonomy while keeping a vigilant eye on the developments of v3.
Our responsibilities includes this main objetives:

  • Managing rewards: Daily monitoring of + 400 enabled trades.
    Aug-Sept: 199 swaps (179 via cowswap / 20 via manual routes), 71 tx, ~1.1 M USD in rewards swapped
  • Vigilantly Monitoring Harvests and Strategies: We closely monitored harvests and strategies, including Keep3rs harvesting, ensuring efficient yield farming operations.
  • Simulating diverse v2 vault allocation scenarios: Our team dedicated efforts to simulate various v2 vault allocation scenarios, enhancing our strategy planning.
  • Improving Seafood's user interface and backend: We invested in Seafood's user interface and backend, aiming to make it the ultimate tool for anyone using yearn vaults. Specifically, we added support for v3 vaults and strategies, aiming to provide a comprehensive solution for non-yearn contributors overseeing their vaults and strategies.
  • Launching Kong: a backend data API designed for yearn-related frontends, now indexing data across all chains where yearn is deployed.
    View Kong
  • yHaas Service deployed: providing a reliable and secure harvest automation platform for yearn V3 for both internal and external strategists. We introduced a registry, enabling strategists to seamlessly register their strategies for harvest.
Currently running automated harvests in prod on polygon for the pearl strategies and Liquid Staking Token strategy. Selling rewards for the Pearl strategy example.
  • Report for strategists: We continued to deliver valuable reports to strategists, keeping them informed and engaged in the yearn ecosystem. We started working in automation by using Dune Analytics. Dashboard

Plan

Seafood and Kong Integration:

  • Achieve 100% integration between Seafood and Kong, streamlining data aggregation and providing real-time access.
  • Implement harvest alerts via Kong to provide users with timely information on desirable harvest opportunities.
  • Enhance data aggregation with Kong for more detailed vault and strategy data.

yHaaS - Yearn Harvest-as-a-Service:

  • Extend the automation offering of the yHaaS service to encompass additional chains, further expanding its accessibility and usability.
  • Integrate yHaaS into a dedicated user interface, ensuring that external strategists have a user-friendly and streamlined experience.
  • These advancements will not only enhance the appeal of the service but also contribute to the broader appeal of the yearn V3 platform.

Dune Analytics:

  • Improve performance in queries and data handling capabilities.
  • Expand data collection and enhance the dashboard to provide comprehensive insights into vault metrics.
  • Explore ways to overcome difficulties in finding token prices and improve the accuracy of calculations.

Liquidity Service:

  • Continue selling rewards for strategies and various yTeams while optimizing and automating these processes.
  • Investigate and implement new automation techniques to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
