Summary

I do not know if it's a matter of being in Linux, KDE or the Brazilian keyboard layout: Ctrl + ` does not open the terminal.

NOTE: Brazilian keyboard only enters ` if using shift, since the key is both ' (normal) and ` (shift). So requiring the shift might be the problem.

Can you open "debug: open key context view" and press ctrl-` paste a screenshot of what it shows?

`: ctrl-shift-dead_grave
': crtl-dead_acute

  • this ctrl-shift-dead_grave is the one used in VSCode
  • none of them are mapped to any command
