Expand only hovered tab on hovering tab icon

The idea is to add an option like "Expand Tabs On Hover" but instead of expanding the entire tab bar it expands only the tab to show its title, overlaying over the page. Hovering over other parts of the sidebar would not expand it.

Maybe clicking on an empty part of the tab bar could also temporarily expand it until the cursor leaves it, just like on hover.
