This archetype generates a simple Java web project with these features:
- A clean, organized POM file the plays nice with maven 3.0
- Java 6 by default
mvn jetty:run
support for easy local development- Works on Heroku out of the box
- JUnit, Mockito, slf4j and log4j dependencies
- Basic log4j.properties
- A trivial servlet to get you started
Note that this archetype does not prescribe a specific Java web framework. If you're looking for a full-fledged bootstrap for Apache Wicket in particular, consider using the archetype included in our fiftyfive-wicket project.
