When you make a mistake or can't figure out why you keep making the same one, simply tap a button after certain exercise types. This feature allows you to chat with Duo for a clear explanation of why your answer was right or wrong, and you can ask for examples or further clarification.
Roleplay allows learners to practice real-world conversation skills with characters in the app. These challenges, which earn XP, are available as “Side Quests” that learners can access by tapping on the character. You'll be guided through different scenarios, such as discussing vacation plans with Lin, ordering coffee at a café in Paris, shopping for furniture with Eddy, or inviting a friend for a hike.
During Roleplay, learners interact with an AI that is responsive and interactive, ensuring no two conversations are exactly alike. After each interaction, an avatar provides feedback on the learner's responses, offering suggestions for improvement. This AI-powered feedback from Duo evaluates the accuracy and complexity of responses, providing tips for future conversations.
