Fixes #40678

Proposed changes:

It seems that we had forgotten to update a few of our child blocks in #34120.

Other information:

  • Have you written new tests for your changes, if applicable?
  • Have you checked the E2E test CI results, and verified that your changes do not break them?
  • Have you tested your changes on WordPress.com, if applicable (if so, you'll see a generated comment below with a script to run)?

Does this pull request change what data or activity we track or use?

  • No

Testing instructions:

Note

  1. You'll need to test all the blocks touched by this PR on a site running Gutenberg (can be a simple site for example), and not using Gutenberg (can be a fresh JN site).
  2. To test the recipe block on non-simple sites, you will need to add a filter to your site on self-hosted (add_filter( 'jetpack_blocks_variation', function () { return 'beta'; } );) or use the option in Settings > Jetpack constants on JN. On simple sites, you will get the Beta blocks if you are proxied.
  1. Before you switch to this branch, create posts with each one of the touched blocks.
  2. Then switch to this branch.
  3. Edit each one of the posts and ensure that there are no errors in the console, that the blocks can still be edited, and that they look good on the frontend (still use the right CSS classes).

Are you an Automattician? Please test your changes on all WordPress.com environments to help mitigate accidental explosions.

  • To test on WoA, go to the Plugins menu on a WordPress.com Simple site. Click on the "Upload" button and follow the upgrade flow to be able to upload, install, and activate the Jetpack Beta plugin. Once the plugin is active, go to Jetpack > Jetpack Beta, select your plugin, and enable the fix/child-blocks-api-version-v3 branch.

  • To test on Simple, run the following command on your sandbox:

    bin/jetpack-downloader test jetpack fix/child-blocks-api-version-v3

Interested in more tips and information?

  • In your local development environment, use the jetpack rsync command to sync your changes to a WoA dev blog.
