Welcome to the CrazyGuessr Wiki
If you're looking for a list of all the tips featured in CrazyGuessr, you're looking for the Index.
The CrazyGuessr homepage is designed to be both interactive and educational. Here's what you can expect:
The homepage features an interactive SVG map of the world that serves as the central navigation tool for the site. This map allows users to quickly access subpages dedicated to specific countries where street view is available in GeoGuessr.
If this is not working for you, you can add /#/ to the URL, followed by the country's ISO 3166 Code (i.e., /#/jp
for the page about Japan).
- Click to Navigate: Clicking on a country will take you directly to its subpage, which includes tips and clues specifically tailored to identifying regions, cities, and landmarks within that country.
-
Color Legend: The map is color-coded based on street view availability and driving orientation:
- Right-side Driving: Countries where driving is on the right.
- Left-side Driving: Countries where driving is on the left.
- Trekkers Only: Countries with trekkers (limited street view coverage like parks or museums).
- Upcoming Street View: Countries where street view is expected but not yet available.
- No Street View: Countries without any street view coverage in GeoGuessr.
This map provides a quick overview of global coverage and helps players strategize based on regional differences in driving orientation or available street view.
Below the map, you will find the Worldwide Tips section, which contains general tips that apply to street view across multiple countries. This section covers broad but crucial topics to help you recognize universal clues while playing GeoGuessr, such as National Flags, Internet Domain Codes: (like .jp
for Japan, .br
for Brazil)...
Every country with street view coverage has its own dedicated page, which can be accessed through the interactive map or by typing the URL. Each country-specific subpage provides tips and clues tailored to that region. Here's what you can expect on these pages:
For each country, you’ll find a breakdown of important regional clues to help you identify not just the country, but also the specific regions within it. This might include:
- Learning Prefectures and Administrative Divisions: For countries like Japan, where prefectures are crucial for pinpointing locations.
- Biggest Cities and Landmarks: Familiarize yourself with the major urban areas and their distinct features.
- Language and Scripts: Recognize regional languages or dialects, and understand when you're in a bilingual area (such as Quebec in Canada).
On each country page, you will find Training Cards to help you memorize specific clues related to that country. These flashcard exercises challenge your knowledge and improve your memory of key details like:
- Road signs
- Regional flags
- Street view features (e.g., house styles, car license plates) The Training Cards system uses adaptive learning to help you strengthen weak points while reinforcing what you already know.
In addition to the Training Cards, many tips include a GeoGuessr Map button, which redirects you to a related GeoGuessr map where you can test your knowledge in real-game scenarios. This button ensures you get real-world application of the clues and facts you’ve learned, helping you refine your skills through actual gameplay.
