Installation:

# make
# make install

Installation to db:

psql -f /path/to/pgsql/share/contrib/pg_uservars.sql DBNAME

Usage:

1. Create new variable/value, or change value for an existing variable:

select pguser_setvar('varname', 'some value');

Returns: TRUE

2. Get value:

select pguser_getvar('varname');

Returs: variable's value, "TEXT" type.

3. Remove variable:

select pguser_delvar('varname');

Returns: TRUE
