The current getLabelForValue method loops through all picker items each time it is called. This can be inefficient if you have a large list of items. Caching the mapping of values to labels will improve performance.

@Shaykoo thanks for the submission. Looking over the change, I think we need some functionality to reset that cache, to ensure we're not operating on outdated data if the underlying XML has changed.

@Shaykoo your branch needs a rebase with the latest master, this is your previous change that got merged in #954
