With this release we refine cassandra as a flexible model coupling framework, broadening its GCAM automation abilities to provide support for many scientific models. Several earth-system models are included by default, and it is possible to plug in others with minimal effort.

Highlights include:

  • Ability to run models distributed across multiple nodes
  • Support for Xanthos, Tethys, and fldgen
  • Robust logging system
  • Continuous integration testing

This is the version we installed at certain user sites in August 2015. It has some changes to reflect updates to GCAM (e.g., alternative region mappings) and some upgrades to reduce user aggravation (e.g., having to create output directories manually).
