Our mission is to eliminate the barriers faced by matriculants during the university application process, especially during the late application period. By providing a user-friendly online platform, we aim to guide students in making informed decisions about their future, ensuring they apply to relevant courses and meet the minimum requirements set by South African institutes of higher learning.

Before you begin, ensure you have the following installed on your system:
- PHP >= 7.3
- Composer
- Node.js and npm
- A web server like Apache or Nginx
- MySQL or another compatible database system
Follow these steps to set up the Eazi Apply project locally:
- Clone the Repository
git clone https://github.com/Kwenziwa/easy-apply.git- Navigate to the Project Directory
cd easy-apply- Install PHP Dependencies
composer install- Install JavaScript Dependencies
npm install && npm run dev- Create a .env File
Copy the .env.example file to a new file named .env.
cp .env.example .env- Generate an Application Key
php artisan key:generate- Set Up the Database
Edit the .env file to include your database connection details. Then, run the migrations:
php artisan migrate- **Seed the Database **
If you have seed data, you can populate your database using:
php artisan db:seed- Serve the Application
php artisan serveThis command will start a development server at http://localhost:8000.
