1.0e - Bugfixes and general improvements

Thanks to everyone who provided feedback for 1.0e Relase Candidate. After evaluating all the feedback, multiple bugfixes were applied, especially regarding performance. Please note that the Progress Bar at the bottom has been removed as it is one of the factors that slows down the search. It will be replaced by an alternative at a later time.
