A latex template for Rutgers MS Thesis or Ph.D. Dissertation.
This latex template is based on the examples provided on
- the official Electronic Thesis and Dissertation Style Guide (See Official Examples to find the snapshot of the guidance and original pdf examples, downloaded on December 2020)
- the latex template from Georgia Tech Thesis Templates

This template is tested on Overleaf. If you are using other Latex editors, please see Known Issues.
You can download the latest stable version of this template from releases. If you are using Overleaf, please log into your account first, then click New Project - Upload Project - Select/drag a .zip file, and upload the file you downloaded, to start your excellent work. If you are using other Latex editors, the template folder should be your project's root folder.
You can also clone this repo and use the files under template folder to try the latest (but in development) version.
- #2, it is found that when using a local editor like TeXLive 2020 + VS Code + Latex Workshop, you might not be able to generate the List of Abbreviations page (Page vii). It will be blank except the page number "vii". This could be caused by different implementations of Latex. Some users may also meet this problem if their template files (.tex/.bib/*.cls, etc.) are in a subfolder. To solve this problem, please move all the template files to the root folder.
