@rhendric I do the updates on my own regularly and the last three times the bot jumped was because it attempted a downgrade (nix-community/nixpkgs-update#398). Would it be possible to exclude Grafana?

I know in theory how to do it myself, but no idea if the prefixOf matches against the full drv name and in that case other packages would be affected as well.

I think we should fix this in nix-update-script, not nixpkgs-update. Update scripts shouldn't be recommending downgrades.
