Sabotages

Sabotages are a way for imposters to create confusion and break up crowds, or pull attention away from part of a map. There are multiple types of sabotages, each with their own effects.

Minor sabotages (eg, doors) simply make it difficult for players to navigate the level. They do not interrupt the use of the meeting button, and fix themselves after a few seconds.

Normal sabotages (eg, communications, lights) cause confusion/disruption in gameplay by hiding information from players. They also disrupt the use of emergency meetings, and will not fix themselves if a body is reported.

Critical sabotages (eg, reactor, O2) are useful to draw immediate attention to another part of the level, and potentially split up players if fixing the sabotage requires two separate interactions. These sabotages have a time limit, and the Crewmates will lose the game if it expires. If the Crewmates report a body while a critical sabotage is active, it will fix itself automatically.

Adding sabotages to your level is a two-step process. For each sabotage you want to use, there must be a corresponding entry in your map's manifest, under the Sabotages key. Furthermore, for any "fixable" tasks (eg, lights, reactor, O2), you will need to place sabotage buttons for players to fix the task at.
