Have you tested against a Pi5? As far as I know, OctoPi 1.0.0 (which this image is based off) still depends on Buster Bullseye, which according to my information won't boot on Pi5, not even in 32bit (and also didn't the last time I tested it right after the release of the Pi5). Keeping that out of the list of supported devices thus was intentional.

Yep, as I thought, doesn't work, even though I was confused and it's Bullseye, not Buster on OctoPi 1.0.0:

See also this thread, money quote:

Pi 5 has Bookworm as the minimum OS level. It will not boot on a standard Bullseye image.

rpi5-boot might be an option, but that definitely goes way beyond the intention of these update scripts to just keep OctoPrint fresh & apply some patches here and there, plus ensure firmware updates (so we don't get f*cked over by some chipset changes again, as has happened before).

Ok will get to work on releasing the current nighlty. that does work.
