+January 21, 2025, at 1500hrs (Davos local time), in Davos, Swiss Federation, during her attendance at the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2025 (WEF AM25), Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra met with Mr. Stefan Oelrich, Board of Management and Head of the Pharmaceuticals Division of Bayer AG. Government Spokesperson Jirayu Houngsub disclosed gist of the meeting as follows:
+The Prime Minister stated about the Government’s policies that focus on agricultural development, especially economic crops (e.g., rice and corn), and promotion of new innovations for public health development, both medicine and health. The Government’s “30-baht Get Treatment Anywhere” scheme allows Thai people to have more access to public health services and medicine, including medical research and development. The Prime Minister hoped to forge cooperation with Bayer, a company with expertise in healthcare and agriculture.
+Thailand strives to promote human resource development through upskilling and reskilling to accommodate future industries, enhance opportunities, and generate more revenues to the country. The Thai Government has just implemented the "Homes for Thais" scheme to provide affordable housing for the Thai people, as part of its policy on uplifting Thai people’s quality of life.
+Mr. Stefan Oelrich congratulated the Prime Minister on her assumption of the position. Thailand is Bayer’s important investment base, and the company would like to cooperate with the country in the fields of medicine, health, and agriculture. The Prime Minister’s vision is highly valued in investing in human resources, which will help Thailand advance rapidly.
+One of the most important industries is pharmaceutical and healthcare. The company is confident that new technologies and advanced AI can transform healthcare, and would be pleased to cooperate with Thailand in supporting patient access to treatment and quality treatment innovations, uplifting patients’ quality of life, and increasing farmers’ productivity, especially the country’s economic crops, through agricultural innovations and technologies.

+January 22, 2025, at 0900hrs (Davos local time), at Davos Congress Centre, Davos, Swiss Federation, Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra had a bilateral discussion with Professor Klaus Schwab, Founder and Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the World Economic Forum (WEF). Gist of the meeting is as follows:
+The Prime Minister was pleased to meet Professor Klaus Schwab again after the previous meeting at the ASEAN Summit in Vientiane. She thanked him for the invitation to attend the WEF, and would present Thailand's "soft powers" at this meeting. Thailand and WEF have long been strong partners and Thailand is ready to continue to expand cooperation with WEF in areas of mutual benefits.
+Professor Klaus Schwab was pleased to meet and discuss with the Prime Minister. He expressed confidence on Thailand’s potential, and committed to expand cooperation with Thailand, especially in the areas of innovation, technology, agriculture and food, through the implementation of various projects and activities.
+Both sides also discussed the organization of joint activities. The Prime Minister was very pleased that Thailand had the opportunity to showcase its potential through various activities at the World Economic Forum this year. Thailand is also interested in hosting the WEF Special Meeting in 2026 and the “Young Global Leaders’ Summit” to empower youths, which is in line with a policy that the government emphasizes to enhance opportunities for developing a creative economy for the new generations, foster new ideas, and create innovations at the global level.
+The Prime Minister took the occasion to invite Professor Klaus Schwab to be a keynote speaker at the ACD High-level Conference on Global Architecture, to be held in May 2025 in Phuket.

+January 22, 2025, at 1015hrs (Davos local time), Davos, Swiss Federation, during her attendance at the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2025 (WEF AM25), Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra had a bilateral discussion with Prof. Muhammad Yunus, Chief Adviser of the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh. Government Spokesperson Jirayu Houngsub disclosed gist of the meeting is as follows:
+The Prime Minister expressed pleasure to meet with Professor Yunus. Thailand and Bangladesh have had cordial relations, especially economic relations and cooperation, with Bangladesh being Thailand’s second largest trading partner in the South Asian region and a potential investment destination. Many Thai private firms have invested in Bangladesh for over 20 years. Both sides agreed to accelerate the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) negotiation between Thailand and Bangladesh to help increase trade volume between the two countries and to achieve the target investment value of approximately USD 2 billion.
+Professor Yunus expressed confidence on strengthening economic cooperation between Thailand and Bangladesh, both in terms of trade and investment, and commended Thailand's success in applying the concept of microfinance to the implementation of village and urban community fund project, which promotes low-income earners’ access to village funds to increase job opportunity for a better life.
+Thailand and Bangladesh have a similar approach in empowering the new generations and youths to play their role in both economic, social, and political development. This is to strengthen the country’s foundation to cope with rapid changes in the future.
+The Prime Minister also invited Professor Yunus to be a keynote speaker at the Young Gen Forum to be organized during the 6th BIMSTEC Summit, hosted by Thailand on April 4, 2025 in Bangkok. Thailand will handover BIMSTEC chairmanship to Bangladesh, and the Prime Minister expressed confidence that Bangladesh would play an important role in promoting various cooperation in the region as the BIMSTECH chair.

+วันนี้ (23 มกราคม 2568) นายจิรายุ ห่วงทรัพย์ ที่ปรึกษาของนายกรัฐมนตรี กล่าวขอบคุณผู้สนใจบ้าน “เพื่อคนไทย” ที่เปิดตัวไปเมื่อวันศุกร์ที่ 17 มกราคมที่ผ่านมา โดยพบว่ามีผู้เข้าไปชมคลิป TikTok ที่ตนเองพาเยี่ยมชมห้องตัวอย่าง ทั้ง 3 ขนาดกว่า 1 ล้านวิว ซึ่งถือว่าประชาชนให้ความสนใจอย่างมาก และไม่เพียงเฉพาะในโซเชียลมีเดียส่วนบุคคลเท่านั้น รัฐบาล โดยกระทรวงคมนาคม ได้จัดทำเว็บไซต์ทางการอย่าง www.บ้านเพื่อคนไทย.th ที่เพียงแค่ 4 วันแรกมีผู้สนใจเข้าค้นหาข้อมูลมากกว่า 60 ล้านครั้งแล้ว ซึ่งในเว็บไซต์ดังกล่าวได้ตอบทุกคำถาม ทุกข้อสงสัยของการมีสิทธิ์ในการจองบ้านเพื่อคนไทยใน 4 พื้นที่ศักยภาพนี้ สะท้อนให้เห็นว่ากว่า 10 ปีที่ผ่านมา ประชาชนไทยมีความต้องการที่อยู่อาศัยอย่างมาก และยังไม่มีนโยบายสำคัญที่เป็นรูปธรรมที่จะเร่งพัฒนาประเทศให้เจริญรุดหน้า ให้มี GDP เติบโตเทียบเท่ากับบางประเทศในภูมิภาคอาเซียนได้
+นายจิรายุ กล่าวต่อไปว่า โครงการนำร่องที่แถลงข่าวเปิดตัวไปแล้วทั้งที่จังหวัดเชียงใหม่ ปทุมธานี ธนบุรี และพื้นที่ กม.11 วิภาวดี ทำให้รัฐบาลพบว่า พี่น้องประชาชนมีความต้องการอยากมีบ้านที่อยู่อาศัยอีกเป็นจำนวนมาก ซึ่งทำเลที่มีคนเข้าร่วมโครงการมากที่สุดคือ พื้นที่ กม.11 วิภาวดี กรุงเทพฯ จำนวน 156,857 ราย และรวมทั้ง 4 พื้นที่กว่า 226,499 ราย โดยมีผู้ที่ผ่านขั้นตอนคุณสมบัติเบื้องต้น (Pre-Approve) ของธนาคารอาคารสงเคราะห์ (ธอส.) จำนวนทั้งสิ้น 135,255 คน (ข้อมูล ณ วันที่ 20 ม.ค. 2568 เวลา 17.30 น.) โดยยังเปิดให้จองอย่างต่อเนื่องจนถึงวันที่ 31 มกราคมนี้ ทั้งนี้ รัฐบาลพร้อมจะขยายโครงการนี้ไปในอีกหลายจังหวัด ทั้งในภาคเหนือ ภาคอีสาน ภาคกลาง ภาคใต้ กรุงเทพฯ และปริมณฑล เพื่อสนับสนุนให้ประชาชนคนไทยได้มีโอกาสเข้าถึงที่อยู่อาศัย อันเป็นการยกระดับคุณภาพชีวิตตามนโยบายสำคัญ “2568 โอกาสไทย ทำได้จริง” ของรัฐบาลนายกรัฐมนตรีแพทองธาร  ชินวัตร
