# Seigr Code of Conduct | ||
## Our Pledge | ||
We, as members, contributors, and leaders of the Seigr community, pledge to foster an inclusive, ethical, and welcoming environment for everyone, free from harassment and discrimination. We are committed to building a community that embraces diversity across age, body size, visible or invisible disability, ethnicity, gender identity and expression, experience, education, socio-economic status, nationality, personal appearance, race, religion, and sexual orientation.
We pledge to act and interact in ways that contribute to a positive, symbiotic ecosystem, supporting mutual respect, openness, and eco-conscious innovation in all our collaborations.
## Our Standards | ||
### Positive Behaviors
To create an environment aligned with Seigr’s values of ecological integrity, ethical collaboration, and decentralized inclusivity, we promote:
- **Empathy and Kindness**: Engage with others thoughtfully and compassionately.
- **Respect for Diverse Perspectives**: Value and consider differing opinions, knowledge levels, and experiences.
- **Constructive Feedback**: Offer feedback that is supportive and focuses on growth, learning, and improvement.
- **Responsibility and Accountability**: Own up to mistakes, seek to make amends, and learn to improve.
- **Community-Oriented Focus**: Act with a commitment to the health, growth, and resilience of the Seigr community.
### Unacceptable Behaviors
We do not tolerate behaviors that undermine Seigr’s mission of ethical, eco-conscious, and collaborative engagement. Prohibited actions include:
- **Harassment or Abuse**: Including sexual language or advances, hate speech, threats, and unwelcome attention.
- **Trolling and Personal Attacks**: Intentionally provoking, insulting, or disparaging other members, projects, or individuals.
- **Privacy Violations**: Sharing others' personal information without consent.
- **Professional Misconduct**: Actions or comments that violate professional norms or community values.
## Enforcement Responsibilities
Seigr community leaders are responsible for maintaining community standards, defining appropriate behavior, and taking prompt and fair corrective action as necessary. Leaders have the right to remove, edit, or reject comments, commits, code, wiki edits, issues, and other contributions that do not align with Seigr’s ethical and ecological values.
## Scope | ||
This Code of Conduct applies within all Seigr community spaces, including GitHub, social media, and official events, whether online or in person. It also applies when a member represents the Seigr community in external forums.
## Reporting and Enforcement
Instances of abusive, harassing, or otherwise unacceptable behavior may be reported to the Seigr leadership team at [[email protected]]. All reports will be reviewed and addressed promptly, with respect for the privacy and security of those involved.
## Enforcement Guidelines
Community leaders will use these guidelines to determine consequences for violations:
### 1. Correction | ||
**Impact**: Minor breaches, such as use of inappropriate language or accidental offense.
**Action**: Private, written notice outlining the issue, and a request for improvement. An apology may be requested if appropriate.
### 2. Warning | ||
**Impact**: Repeated minor issues or a single significant incident.
**Action**: A formal warning with specific consequences for continued behavior. Interaction restrictions may be implemented. Violations during this period may result in a temporary ban.
### 3. Temporary Ban | ||
**Impact**: Serious breaches or a pattern of unacceptable behavior.
**Action**: Temporary suspension from interactions within the community for a set period. Violating the terms of the suspension may lead to a permanent ban.
### 4. Permanent Ban | ||
**Impact**: Repeated breaches or severe misconduct, including harassment or sustained aggression.
**Action**: Permanent removal from the Seigr community and all related spaces.
