Releases: Teutonic84/SteamConsole
SteamConsole v1.6.3

- Added Steam shortcut for "SteamConsole Settings" GUI application to be accessed within Steam.
SteamConsole v1.6.2
- General Bugfixes for updater and uninstaller scripts.
SteamConsole v1.6.1
- Updated SteamConsole Updater script to v1.5.5 - Fixed issue with auto-downloading Dolphin builds.
- Switched from using xpadder for controller configs to "antimicro".
- Setup auto-profiles in antimicro for controller configs for some applications/games.
- Updated ROM Importer Script - Fixed issues with importing ROMs to steam.
- Removed ROM import to Steam during SteamConsole Install when running the installer from scratch. This only caused issues and confusion for the end user.
- Updated SteamConsole installer file to be more streamlined.
- Removed all references to Xpadder and replaced with antimicro.
- General old code cleanup.
- Added SteamConsole Settings-Alpha_v0.4.exe (GUI Settings Application).
- Added custom program icons to system tray and settings application.
SteamConsole v1.6.0
Changed the location of the auto-download script, so if you're just updating a previous version, download "Updater_v1.5.4", extract it and replace all files with the Updater files located in "..\SteamConsole\Scripts\Updater". After this run the SteamConsole Updater script to auto-update to the current version. If you would like to just update it yourself manually, download the file "SteamConsole_Update_Only_v1.6.0.7z".
Changelog:
- Updated ROM Importer Script - Did some code cleanup and have a better method for ROM launching. It will be possible in the future to setup SteamConsole to work with multiple frontends instead of just Steam. Possible rebranding coming soon.
- Added new "launcher.bat" file for launching ROMS in Steam. No more need to have separate batch files for each ROM in "..\Steam_Shortcuts".
- Updated SteamConsole Updater script to v1.5.4 - Changed update location from a personal FTP server to github itself. Will save me bandwidth and have better download speeds.
- Fixed issue with ICE throwing an error when importing ROMS to Steam. If you experience an error message, delete your Steam shortcuts.vdf file from the folder "..\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\USER_ID\config". NOTE the shortcuts.vdf file holds all the shortcut info for Steam. So if you have custom shortcuts they will be removed.
- Moved "..\Steam_Shortcuts\Apps" folder to "..\Emulators\ROMS\Apps" to work with the new ROM import/launch method.
SteamConsole v1.5.9.2
WARNING:
- There was a bug in the version of wget that was preventing it from downloading files from github. So if you try auto-updating or downloading just the updater files from this release, first download the "Updater_Fix.7z" file and replace the files below:
- ..\SteamConsole\Scripts\Updater\Update-SteamConsole.bat
- ..\SteamConsole\Scripts\Updater\wget.exe
If you are installing for the first time simply download "SteamConsole_v1.5.9.2_x64.exe" and run it.

To update, simply run "Update-SteamConsole.bat" located in "..\SteamConsole\Scripts\Updater". If you don't have version 1.2 or higher of the updater, then download it and replace the files located in "..\SteamConsole\Scripts\Updater". After this you can simply run "Update-SteamConsole.bat" to update to future releases.
Controller Map Popup:
Hold Select and press R3 to show/hide the controller map window. This doesn't work if you are in a game or application set to exclusive fullscreen mode. If you change it to borderless windowed it will show up.
Custom Steam Grid Images:
There are now custom steam grid images for all the retro consoles, PC Apps, and PC Games, located in "..\SteamConsole\Images\Steam_Grid_Images". I have included a template for each if you want to add custom images for games that aren't included. Use the "Template Image Dimensions.txt" file for reference when making your own steam grids. All the templates are simple enough that you can edit them in mspaint within about 20 seconds.
NOTE: If you want to use the custom steam grid images, you will need to delete your steam grid image cache located at "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\USER_ID\config\grid". Then simply run the ROM import script to use the custom images. Make sure that the custom image names match the name of your ROMs exactly so Ice finds them (ex: "Legend of Zelda, The - A Link to the Past.jpg").
