orion Build Status

Warning: You should not use this for anything that requires confidence in security.

Currently contains:

  • HMAC with SHA2(256, 384, 512).
  • HKDF with the above HMAC options.

Usage

Include it in your Cargo.toml file:

[dependencies]
orion = ">=0.1.43"

Use it like this:

extern crate orion
use orion::{default, util};

// HMAC
let key = util::gen_rand_key(64);
let msg = "Some message.".as_bytes().to_vec();

let hmac_digest = default::hmac(key, msg);
let hmac_digest_second = default::hmac(key, msg);
assert_eq!(default::hmac_validate(&hmac_digest, &hmac_digest_second), true);

// HKDF
let salt = util::gen_rand_key(64);
let data = "Some data.".as_bytes().to_vec();
let info = "Some info.".as_bytes().to_vec();

let hkdf = default::hmac(salt, data, info, 64);
