WheelCheck2SII

This is WheelCheck to ffb_lut.sii file converter.

Usage:

  1. Start WheelCheck(https://www.dropbox.com/s/3zxf5yd1bvujyi5/WheelCheck_1_72.zip?dl=0). Before you start the test, you can set the amount of desired response points by changing "Max Count" value. Higher values will give much more precise response graph while making the test longer. Lower values will give much coarser response graph while making the test shorter. Having at least 100 response points is recommended.
  2. Select "Step Log 2 (linear force test)" and wait until the test stops. Your wheel will gradually increase the distance while centering itself after each iteration. During the test don't touch the wheel. Once the test finishes, you'll find the generated file in your Documents folder. It's best to sort files by modification date while being in the folder.
  3. Launch WheelCheck2SII, then press "Load CSV file", then locate CSV file generated by WheelCheck. After opening the file you'll get rough visualization of the response chart in the file, along with amount of response points and highest value found, which is used for getting the existing values converted into <0,1> range in output file.
  4. (Only applies to 1.0.1 and above) Set the desired precision by amount of decimal digits. Default value will give very rough representation of given response curve. As you do that, you'll see the line on the chart. This changes as you change the amount of decimal digits.
  5. Press "Save ffb_lut.sii file". Select the location where you want to save, then press "Save".
  6. Install the LUT file according to the info on this site: https://modding.scssoft.com/wiki/Documentation/Engine/Advanced_input_configuration/Force_feedback_LUT

(only applies to 1.0.3 or above, version 1.0.3.2 or above is recommended): If you open the LUT file from LUT Generator for AC(https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/lut-generator-for-ac.9740/) in the program, you'll get the LUT output values precise to 3 digits after decimal point if you decide to save the output file.

If everything went correctly, after opening the game and opening the settings on "Controllers" sub-menu, you should see the ❗ next to the total gain slider. This means that the file was loaded correctly.
