Network configuration

  • IP - Choose DHCP to let the device receive a configuration from your router. To specify your own IP configuration, set this to static and enter IP, subnet, gateway and DNS valid for your network
  • IPv6 - Enables automatic IPv6 configuration
  • enable mDNS - Enable multicast DNS. This will allow you to reach the device by using hostname. Ex. if you have configured "ams-reader" as hostname in General configuration, then mDNS will enable you to reach this device via hostname: ams-reader.local
  • NTP - NTP is used to get a accurate date and time. This is needed for:
    • Day and month graph
    • Real time calculation of consumption
    • HTTPS communication with APIs

If NTP is not configured or it doesn't work, meter timestamp will be used if available.
