Hi Adam,

I realize this was hosted back in 2018 (and it being 2022 now), any chance the sample data is still around on the net? Those AWS resources aren't there any longer:

  • f4g-pdal-workshop-sampledata/APPF-farm-sample.laz

No prob if they aren't too. I think I can make due with data from their original datasets (dublin, and that one in Australia) (true story?).

Please feel free to close this "issue" as well. Thanks so much for leaving this posted online!

Best regards,

Paul

Hi Paul, thanks for checking out the tutorial! Unfortunately the data referred to are gone - but let me add a new issue: update with current data.

ps - yes, I think you have the right tile from Dublin :)

@adamsteer Hi Adam, question about the APPF-farm-sample.laz file: would you happen to have any interim suggestions for what file I might use in its place to complete this workshop? (I'm on part 4). I can take a best guess on the net but any suggestions would be most welcomed.

Also, side note, I'm using the newest version of pdal to complete the tutorial (2.4.3) and only had to comment out two lines in the python notebook ./notebooks/PDAL-python.ipynb (pipeline.validate() and pipeline.loglevel = 8). Looks like the issue that was initially there with 2.2 has been solved.
