This is PR 2/4 in the chain.
What is in this PR?
This PR makes it so all IDs for objects are UUIDs.
The advantage here is that the UUIDs can be generated in the code so that the IDs don't have to be returned from the upload. This lays the groundwork for PR 3/4.
