DayCounter-pyqt

DayCounter-pyqt is a simple desktop application built using PyQt5 framework. It's simple tool to calculate days from selected date (from future or past). There is ready to use release for Windows, however you can simply run it as a python script on any OS.

Usage

  1. Clone repo
git clone https://github.com/avrland/DayCounter-pyqt.git
  1. Run it
python start.py

Features

  • window size is fixed to 640x480
  • allows you to select date manually from calender
  • reading events dates from json list
  • can calculate dates from future and past
  • longer event names do not go beyond gui
  • immune to basic errors: wrong data format, corrupted json, no json file

Json events date list

I provide example list in event_list.json. Date is in DD/MM/YYYY format - any other will result in calculate error. Name of file is irrelevant, I'm simply taking first found json file from root path.
