CiviCRM updates on BackdropCMS.org

• Eric (@ericfg) volunteered at some point (should we formalize?)
• Robert (@bugfolder) has volunteered to be backup (and offered to contact Eric)
• we should have several people who are aware of civi security updates as they come out
  • civi notifications (https://civicrm.org/civicrm/mailing/subscribe?reset=1)
  • Jen signed up, Greg signed up, Jack and others already signed up
• Use GitHub issues and the Infrastructure Zulip channel to communicate about all updates being applied

Process for security updates:

• github issue created on announcement of upcoming civi update to denote progress and availability

Monthly (bug-fix) releases optional:

• up to the person(s) working on civi if they want a specific update

Sanitization of the civi database

• we should review the script and see if it's sufficient for sanitization

  • if so, set it up on beta to run w/ crontasks like the others
  • if not, we'll need to document how to set up b.org w/o civi

• Justin has agreed to review the script and see if we can set it up and have it working on the beta site

  • Laryn volunteered to be backup if Justin cannot review the script

Other setup concerns

GDPR extension

• install on beta site?

Add user role on b.org live site (and import to beta after meeting) - Jen (done)

Backdrop user profiles vs what's in Civi

• @bugfolder will come up with a proposal for what goes into Civi and what doesn't, will add an issue for that and bring it to our next meeting

Testing more on beta first?

• @bugfolder suggested we do more testing of the functionality we plan to use before bringing this live
