This seems super cool!
I am currently working on a project and am trying to give specific colours to follow my row values horizontally in my RankFlow chart and thought this might be just the thing I need.
I am however unsure how to pass data correctly to make it work and am wondering if you might be able to help me out with how I should set up my variable names, counts and the hex codes to go with each?
Perhaps you have an example with some dummy data or similar?
Any guidance would be much appreciated:)

The data should be in this format: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1EztOotl2coQhujhgaTDxSqk8wZ-04bZXg5RZall7qIw/edit?usp=sharing, then copied and pasted from the spreadsheet to Rankflow as is. The column where you put your HEX code has to be named "colour" or "Colour".

Hi @boyd-nguyen Thank you for the example data and for your offer to help out - it is highly appreciated! I tried it out with the examples you sent but I keep getting either a fully red plot or a gradient from red to blue if I assign other values than 1 to some of the rows in the Amazon books example. With the data from example 2 the ‘flow streams’ do not appear when I generate the visualization. I also tried it out with a small data sample of my own. The data looks like this in excel: And the flow chart that I get with it (where the uservariable is made logarithmic) is this: I think I must be doing something wrong, since your program sounds like it would be pretty straightforward to use. I also see in the last figure/screenshot that 1) a column is missing, and 2) that the ranking seems to not function, since the two top words (‘faglig' and ‘personlig’) should be switching places based on their count-values, so something is off. I’m thinking your guess for what I am doing wrong is much better than mine, so I would love some help with getting it right. If an online chat is most convenient for you, I think that doing so sounds great. The time of day is not an issue, I’ll make time whenever is most convenient to you. Best, Laura

Hi Boyd Thank you for your last email. If I simply clone the link you sent, I get this error: Git: fatal: repository 'https://github.com/QUT-Digital-Observatory/RankFlow/tree/custom_colour_wip/' not found I’ve tried out some different ways of making sure I am using the code from the correct branch but I am still not having any luck.
