Hey, I'm maintaining this package in the NixOS package repository and just checked the changelog before updating the package. I noticed you did a breaking change and annotated it well, so thanks for that. A recommendation from my PoV would be, that if you're changing the API of your library, to do bigger version bumps. Maybe even consider https://semver.org, a familiar scheme that gives everyone and advanced notice based on the version bump alone..

@mweinelt I don't have much experience in maintaining pypi packages.Thank you for your advice, I will definitely use them.
