For testing purposes, I often find it useful to point the install script at a local repository that I'm serving with a very basic HTTP server, like this:
Such a server doesn't work with the standard install script because I can't specify the schema as "http" instead of "https".
This patch changes the interpretation of the "-r" option so that an entire URL prefix, with schema, should be specified, so I can do something like this:
A check is made for the old usage, for backwards compatibility purposes.
