The Decentralized Carbon Trading Platform allows users to tokenize carbon credits into NFTs, buy and sell these tokens on a decentralized marketplace, and track their carbon offsetting activities. The platform leverages blockchain technology to ensure transparency and security, and it integrates AI-powered chatbots to enhance user experience.

Installation

1. Clone the Repository:

2. Install Backend Dependencies:

    cd backend
    npm install

3. Install Frontend Dependencies:

    cd ../frontend
    npm install

Running the Application

1. Start Backend:

2. Start Frontend:

npm run dev

3. Access the Application:

Open your browser and navigate to http://localhost:3000.

Contracts

The smart contracts for tokenizing and trading carbon credits are located in the contracts directory. Key contracts include:

• NFT.sol: Defines the NFT representing carbon credits.

Backend

The backend is built with Node.js and Express, providing API endpoints for interacting with the smart contracts and handling user requests. Key functionalities include:

• AI Chatbot Integration: Endpoint for interacting with the AI-powered chatbot.

Frontend

The frontend is built with Next.js and TypeScript, utilizing Material-UI for styling. It provides a user-friendly interface for:

• Trading Marketplace: Browse and trade carbon credit NFTs.
• User Dashboard: Track and report carbon offsetting activities.
