This action installs GStreamer by leveraging the release binaries for a specific version found here:
https://gstreamer.freedesktop.org/data/pkg/
Tested runner environments are macOS, Windows, and Ubuntu 20.04.
The version of GStreamer to install. The default is 1.22.7
The architecture (x86
, x86_64
, etc.) of binaries to install. Defaults to x86_64
.
The URL from where to clone the gstreamer source (Linux targets only). Defaults to https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/gstreamer/gstreamer.git
.
WINDOWS ONLY:
An optional override url for downloading the Windows gstreamer runtime MSI installer. If not specified, the default is https://gstreamer.freedesktop.org/data/pkg/windows/<version>/gstreamer-1.0-<arch>-<version>.msi
. If this input is specified then the action post run will be run and gstreamer will be uninstalled. These are primarily meant to be used in self hosted runners and not run in the gstreamer hosted runners that are bootstrapped and executed as non-persistent containers.
An optional override url for downloading the Windows gstreamer development libraries and tools MSI installer. If not specified, the default is https://gstreamer.freedesktop.org/data/pkg/windows/<version>/gstreamer-1.0-devel-<arch>-<version>.msi
.
If the msiUrl is specified, the devMsiUrl must also be specified.
An optional value that, if supplied, will separate the gstreamer installation path from other gstreamer installations. The environment variables will be updated to reflect the newest installation.
The installation path.
The GITHUB_PATH
will be appended with the bin
directory appended to gstreamerPath
. This has the effect of appending the system path (e.g., PATH
on macOS) so that the installed tools are accessible without specifying the full path to the executable.
WINDOWS ONLY: The GSTREAMER_1_0_ROOT_MSVC_<arch.to_upper()>
variable will be set to the gstreamerPath
.
In this example, it is a Windows environment and we want to set the GSTREAMER_...
environment variables in a follow-on step. The first step runs the installation. The second step echoes the output variables from the previous step into variables that are then redirected into the GITHUB_ENV
variable. If a next job were specified, it would have those variables set.
