We'll leave this PR open until a solution for using WebAuthn or another protocol for secure password / key needed for encryption/decryption of recovery phrase. WebAuthn have extensions that will support this (hmac-secret and/or prf), but no browser has committed to implementing it. Appears like nobody is going to do it either.

"Pseudo-random function extension" (PRF) is part of Level 3 specification at the moment, which is an Editor's Draft status. We have to wait for that to implement biometrics support. |
