This is a test app for the gem ferry.

This app has several different db types in different environments:

'sqlite_development' 'mysql_development' 'postgresql_development'

all other environments run on sqlite (production, test, development)

To populate these dbs, you will need to run rake db:migrate and rake db:populate in all 3, meaning you need to switch to them on the command line. And by switch, I mean set them as your 'development' environment, run the rakes, then set the default 'development' environment back as well as whatever the name of the environment you were populating.

If there is a way to run rakes only on specific environments, I don't know how to do it.
