  • NETWORK SCANNER : Network scanning is a procedure for identifying active devices on a network by employing a feature or features in the network protocol to signal devices and await a response.

  • PACKET SNIFFER : A sniffer is a software or hardware tool that allows the user to “sniff” or monitor your internet traffic in real time, capturing all the data flowing to and from your computer
