Finding members
Meetup.com does a great job of helping you find new members when you start a group but we will also help promote your group via social media and our website.
Finding speakers
We usually suggest that anyone from the community is welcome to be a speaker as long as they are technical and knowledgeable! There are many different ways to find speakers such as reaching out to the Data Engineering Community Team ([email protected]), asking around in your network, connecting with people in our community, messaging local community members on meetup.com, and more.
Ask your speaker to prepare and provide the below information as you will likely need it later when creating the event:
- Full Name and Title
- Bio (short paragraph)
- Title of the Talk
- Talk abstract
- Length of talk
