This repository contains an online experiment aiming to replicate the study conducted by Pryor et al. (2019), built using _magpie.

Besides the actual code used to implement experiment 1 of the above paper, this repository also contains
- the analysis script including the (anonymized) data
- the experimental design, materials, preregistration, and final report.
To run the experiment online, follow this link.
To run it offline, clone the repository, run npm installand open index.html.

The experimental design explains the background of the study, hypotheses, and design of the experiment including materials as well as procedure.
The materials used in the experiment (original and translation) can also be found seperately in the materials folder.

The final report contains a lot of details on the rationale behind this replication study and more info on how exactly we conducted the experiment, including data preparation and analysis. It also contains a discussion of our results.
